Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

What makes a material sustainable? Recycling is the quick and easy answer but there are other methods. Many of the manufactured materials in this building are produced within 500 miles of Savage. Using local resources reduces the petroleum expense of transportation.
Improved indoor air quality marks another key element in sustainability. Many products emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that effect your health. The site uses paints and manufactured products low in VOCs to create a healthier building.

To minimize environmental impact, the building stands on the same footprint as the site's old parking lot. The asphalt parking lot was crushed and used to support the building's foundation.
